Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa (subclass 186)
- You must have the necessary skills for the job
- You must be nominated by an Australian employer
- You must meet our health and character requirements
Stay: Permanently
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) visa (subclass 187)
- You must be be nominated by an approved Australian employer for a job in regional Australia
- You must be be under 45 years of age
- You must meet the skills, qualifications and English language requirements
Stay: Permanently
Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)
- You can work and study anywhere in Australia
sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence - If eligible, become an Australian citizen
Stay: Permanently
Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
- You can work and study anywhere in Australia
- You can sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence
- If eligible, become an Australian citizen
Stay: Permanently
Training visa (subclass 407)
- You can visit Australia to complete a workplace-based training (to improve your skills for your current occupation, area of tertiary study or field of expertise), or a professional development training program
Stay: This is a temporary visa up to 2 years.
Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482)
- You must be nominated for a skilled position by an approved sponsor
- You must have the right skills to do the job
- You must meet the relevant English language requirements
Stay: Upto 2 years
Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)
- You can live, study and work in Australia temporarily
- You can bring your family members
Stay: Upto 18 months
Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489)
- You need to be invited or;
- You need to live, work and study in specified regional areas of Australia
Stay: Upto 4 years
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
- You must be nominated to apply by a state or territory government agency, or an eligible relative must sponsor you
- You must have an occupation on a relevant skilled occupation list
- You must have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
- You must be invited to apply

- You can come to Australia to provide care and support for a student visa holder who is under 18 years of age or older due to exceptional circumstances

Student Visas
This visa is for international students who visit Australia temporarily to undertake studies in Australian institutions. The visa is granted for up to 5 years in line with the period of enrolment.
Working while Studying
Student visas allow students to work up to 40 hours per fortnight once the course commences.
